Day 3 & 4 - Logan, OH to Dayton, OH - National Museum of the USAF
Our travels from Logan, OH to Dayton was technically short, less than 2 hours, so we didn't rush at all. We noticed when we got to Logan that our front bushings were loose (actually pretty deteriorated upon investigation), so we purchased new ones, headed to a Loves Truck Stop for inexpensive gas, thought about changing it there, but John had done some awesome MacGyver work and secured the bushings with our pool noodles that we had used to buffer our bikes on the trailer, so we opted to do it the next morning. We found another Harvest Host and stayed at the Wandering Griffin Brewery Restaurant which was 4 miles from the National Museum of the USAF (the whole reason to be in that area). We arrived around 5p. Parked, then headed in for a meal. I've come to realize as much as I like beer that breweries don't brew or offer the kind of beer I like. So John and I opted for margaritas. LOL. After dinner we hung out in the camper and just chilled. The next morning, Sept. 4, John fixed the bushings and we got to the Museum around 10:15 and enjoyed the journey of flight. It's hard to believe that the Wright Brothers started experimenting in 1901/2 and by the 1930's we had flying warfare. John took most of the pics on our regular camera, but I did grab a few on my cell. One plane boasted my father's name, no it's not really him, but someone with the same name.
Below are pics from our 4 hour time in the museum and a couple from dinner the night before.
