Good-Bye ‎⁨Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa⁩

OMG. That was just what I needed!!!(especially since Minou didn't let me sleep the night before - I was super grumpy and totally needed to "improve my mood".   We had about 4 hours of soaking on Monday and then a full day on Tuesday. On Monday evening I noticed an incorrect credit card charge and inquired. They were super apologetic and offered us a private 50 min soak. Which is usually $75. They thought they would have to wait until morning when accounting showed up to fix it but it was resolved that night. We opted to take the private soak under the stars at 8p. Super beautiful. But the whole place was amazing. No kids under 13. Whole place was a “whisper zone” so people could relax and zen out. One pool was actually a “no talking zone”. Temps (air and water) were amazingly perfect. Here’s some info and pics!! ♥️♥️♥️


I did a good portion of this blog on my phone thinking it might be easier.  Even signed up for the extras, but it did nothing.  It posted one pic at a time, out of order, wouldn't post some and when I went to add a video it asked for a URL.  So excuse the layout of all the pics.

I love these wet floor signs - never saw these before. LOL

 I am about 15 days behind on what we have been doing.  I have a lot of drafts on deck, but haven't always had the bandwidth to add the pictures (mostly I mean wifi/cell bandwidth, but sometimes it was my own that was lacking). Sooooo much to share, but instead of trying to rush through everything we have experienced I will share what we did today then retrace my steps from Old Faithful (which is one of the drafts) to yesterday.  Today we are in Twin Falls, Idaho!  We are staying at the  Oregon Trails Campground .  It was a pretty decent place.  It might not seem like a place you'd stop, but it was a comfortable drive from the eastern side of Oregon heading southeast and we needed a couple of days to re-establish our plan going forward - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! 9/20 - 9/23 Washington

On our route back to the US, Alex was waiting to join us at our next destination.  John and I hadn't had any problem finding camp sites all the way to the west coast, but that was all changed.  Frustration and disappointment was about to kick all of our asses.  There was too much confusion and I finally got frustrated with finding nothing (and of course, still feeling uncomfortable wanting to park our RV in Seattle), so I booked a site 1 hour north of Seattle at Angel of the Winds RV Resort   The place was super nice with some cool amenities.  But it was such a short stay so much of it was missed by us.  Alex actually met us up there.  We hung out, tried to figure out our next destination and went for a soak in the hot tub.  And then her and Kurt went back to their place for the night.  Kurt was able to grab a few things he forgot, sleep in a comfy bed with his gal and then be ready to meet us at our next stop.   We all agreed to head to...

9/11 - 9/13

 On 9/11 we arrived at Custer State Park First up is DONKEYS!!! Next we have herds of BISON!! We arrived at our home for 2 nights,  Custer Crazy Horse Campground .  It wasn't bad.  Actually had some pretty good spots for tents near huge boulders and they even had some cabins (actually a lot of the campgrounds around here have them).  the boulder with the tent site I thought was cool the cabins - there were more on the other side of the campground too. looking up from our site - it's the same boulder as above.  It was a steep campground, but they did well with laying it out.  On 9/12 we went to  Mt. Rushmore .  I truly thought it would take us the whole day, but I think we enjoyed it for about 3 hours.  It's interesting with the National Park Pass we get in for free, but they still charge parking - ugh!  Luckily we got that half off thanks to John's age.   Mt.
