OK, so I am posting this FINALLY on October 7. I have been trying but really struggled with the videos. And then the wifi was iffy and so it took until NOW. Here you go!! 2 days worth of Yellowstone. More pics than write-ups.
We're here!!! Soooo exciting. We arrived via the south entrance and it was a breeze. We heard the west entrance had super long lines but we weren't sure about the south. It was about an hour and a half ride up to Old Faithful.

| The views were beautiful, but some was SCARY. |
| This camper looks ready for anything. |
| met a couple of cyclists from the UK. They stopped to take pictures at the continental divide. I asked if they wanted a pic together, but they said no, they weren't together. But then I heard them both speaking with an English accent and I said "really?? your not together? Your accent." They chuckled and said they were from the same |

First waterfall of our trip!!! |
We made it to Old Faithful about 1:40, but it wasn't scheduled to go off until about 2:42 (+/- 10 minutes) so we went to the visitor center. Took a couple of pics there. I cannot believe the earthquake Distribution in the area!!!

After looking at the map I realized we had a lot of walking we could do to see other geysers so I grabbed the keys from John (he wanted to watch a mini movie about the park) and headed back to the RV to change my shoes. I figured I'd grab my mace too since I was seeing that there were a lot of signs around warning us about bears and encouraging us to carry bear spray. We weren't sure what the difference was between the 2 so we looked it up. about 30 feet is the difference, so one you have a fighting chance then other welllll... Anyway, John opted not to stay and met me about half way. He asked for the keys. Ummmmm nope. I locked them in the car. John was not a happy camper (neither was I but I had confidence the rangers could help and I wasn't going to let this get me down), but the time was drawing near for Old Faithful to blow. So back to the visitor center we went with about 20-30 feet between us while John found some calm again. The ranger was quite nice and connected me with the ranger office. Who proceeded to tell me they didn't think they could help me but there was a wrecker service nearby that could help for a fee. She transferred me to their cell, another woman, who told me they could be there to help. I asked if they could wait until Old Faithful finished (yep, I was ballsy enough to ask). She said if we weren't there she would grab our keys and bring them to the gas station nearby and we could grab them from there. The signal was lousy (I was on a landline, she on a cell), I kept trying to warn her there was a cat in the RV, but she never heard me. So we headed strait to the van and figured we'd catch the next one (roughly 90 minutes from the last). So we headed back to the RV and before we could even get there we saw the wrecker pulling in. We had to run to make sure they were at the right RV and didn't leave with our keys. It was another woman (LOL). We worked as a team to get entry. She was standing on the step, John was holding her back to keep her there (her request) and I was in the other window guiding her. She quickly had me fill out paper work, got my payment of $120 and we had time to spare before Old Faithful did its job!! We have never had a wrecker get to us so fast. We are used to AAA. We were grateful and we were able to find humor in it through out the day.
Now...drumroll please...

| Unlike Old Faithful The Grand Geyser had a much longer span of the possibility. In fact, when we stopped here it was 3:55 pm. And it was scheduled to go off between 2:30p - 5:30p. We decided to stick around a bit and sit. And just as we were about to leave at about 4:03pm it blew. And lasted a full 10 minutes. Almost more impressive than Old Faithful. |
| In the lodge gift shop. I don't need to buy all the dragonflies, but I do love a good picture of them. |
| Obviously we didn't stay here, but we went in to experience it. |
| Inside Yellowstone Lodge - sooooo cool. |
| another view of Old Faithful - which went off for our 2nd time a few minutes later. But it was much shorter than our first viewing. |
| Seeing the steam every where you go is crazy cool. |
| this slow traffic was cuz of this guy below! |
| Gotta love all the bugs!!! We cleaned this so often and it took no time for the windshield to look like this. |
This was the end of day ONE at Yellowstone. On to day TWO!
| Grand Prismatic - I think from a different view (up on the hill) the view must be the more iconic one, but this served us well!!! |
| Grand Prismatic |
| Driving past Biscuit Basin (which blew up this summer and was closed) we noticed our little grizzly friend. |
| We had decided we had enough. So on the way out we stopped here for lunch. It was quiet, serene and meant for us. |
| I love this pic of US! |
| Dipping my feet in this beautiful river. |
A beautiful couple of days here. And we should not be confused with the woman from NH that went off trail and ended up being whisked away for treatment.
NH Woman burned in Yellowstone (this is an instagram link) but here's the screenshot of what it comes up
